SmartHop, a leading dispatch provider in the freight and trucking industry, recently announced the appointments of Jeff Ogren as Head of Marketing and Juan Pablo (JP) Restrepo as General Manager. The positions became effective on September 1st, 2020.

Jeff joins SmartHop with ten years of experience in the tech space leading marketing and business development efforts in the transportation and logistics industries. He recently worked with Uber Freight, where he led critical strategic projects and served on the founding team as Head of Business Development and Marketing.
Prior to Uber, Jeff co-founded Trucker Path, America's largest and most used platform for the trucking industry. In addition to Trucker Path, Ogren served as the Enterprise Account Executive for Randall Reilly, a marketing service whose clients include some of the trucking industry's biggest names. Ogren's impressive background in the trucking and freight industry will be integral to SmartHop's future.
JP Restrepo is a business leader with more than 15 years of work experience in a mix of companies, including high-profile corporations such as Sony Electronics, Kellogg Company, and Adidas, and hyper-growth startups such as Uber Technologies and Oyo Rooms. He has led multiple cross-functional teams in the capacity of General Manager and Director of Operations, leading different lines of business and markets from launch to full scale.
JP decided to join SmartHop inspired by the company's mission to level the playing field for independent owner-operators and small carriers, as well as the unique technology that SmartHop implements within their Trucking Support Network (TSN) and proprietary tool, Copilot. Before joining SmartHop, JP led the expansion of the Indian Startup Up OYO Rooms in Florida and led the UberEats team in the Southeast region in the US, where his team achieved consistent growth rates, profitability, and category leadership. Prior to Uber, JP worked with Adidas Group, where he served as the Business Unit Director for Reebok. He developed and managed category product portfolio & strategies, executing seasonal growth and profitability. JP's vast experience in team and systems management has already proven to be a perfect fit for SmartHop's current needs and initiatives in this rapid period of expansion.
