Position overview

SmartHop is looking for a Chief of Staff who will be reporting directly to the CEO. As the Chief of Staff, you will be working closely with the leadership team, you will be essential in creating scalable repeatable processes across the organization. By taking on this key role at SmartHop, you’ll constantly be working with team members and leaders, both internal and external. The role is to bring alignment and to enable the executive team in the completion of our strategic goals. Although the Chief of Staff will wear many hats, the core responsibility lies in the definition and execution of strategic operational projects. Location: Miami, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Defining strategic priorities and being a thought partner to the CEO and the Executive Team on medium and long term strategy. 
  2. Owning specific strategic projects so they are completed on time and to the full scope of the work across all functions of the company (HR, Ops, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, BD, Finance, Product and Tech) 
  3. Oversee staff/internal operations: prepare agendas, take notes, and assign action items at weekly staff meetings, manage the OKR and annual planning processes, support with board meeting preparation, create decision-making frameworks, manage All Hands programming
  4. Manage data and create Objectives and Key Results (OKR) process and management reporting to ensure focus, cross-functional collaboration, accountability and alignment across the organization

This role has the opportunity to evolve into an operations,  strategy, or functional leadership role as the company transitions to a more specialized organizational structure.


SKILLS

  • 5+ years of exceptional operational experience in finance, consulting, or tech.
  • Experience or exposure to organizational management best practices
  • Experience with data management, analysis and presentation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills matched with strong presentation abilities
  • Experience in a start-up or fast growth environment
